Monica Balasch, DVM, PhD and EBVS European Specialist in Porcine Health Management, graduated in the Veterinary School of the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 1992. In 1996 obtained the PhD in Veterinary Medicine at the same University. The topic was the study of latency of Aujeszky’s Disease Virus in pigs, at a pathological and molecular levels. Monica joined Fort Dodge/Pfizer/Zoetis in 1997, where she has developed 25 years of experience in the field of Veterinary Virology and Veterinary Vaccinology at the Research&Development department. Her areas of expertise are the development of animal disease models and the registration of swine vaccines.
