Imre Biksi, DVM, PhD and ECPHM Diplomate, graduated as a veterinarian in 1992 from the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest. He has started to work at the Department of Pathology and still teaching general and special pathology to 3rd and 4th grade foreign and Hungarian students as an associate professor. He completed his PhD work in 2003 on „Some aspects of urogenital tract disorders of female breeding swine”. Over the years, parallel with his academic activities, he has managed to establish a private diagnostic laboratory with strong focus on swine. He has been diplomate of ECPHM since 2007. Currently active in applied research on MRSA in production animals, on swine influenza and PCV3.
